H.E.R.O.E.S. Care is a St. Louis based national non-profit providing emergency material, financial and other aid on behalf of military members and veterans through a network of specially trained caregivers before, during and after deployment in the communities where they live. Since 2003, H.E.R.O.E.S. Care has served more than 150,000 military families through programs designed to lessen the complex negative effects of military service.

Through the H.E.R.O.E.S. Care Hometown Support Program, thousands of specially trained volunteer caregivers are making a real and lasting difference in the lives of military families across the Nation. People who understand the complex effects of military service. People willing to listen. People trained to detect words and behaviors that are indicators. People who have access to the dedicated resources necessary to proactively address the needs of military families before problems escalate to crisis situations. People who are able to create and sustain an environment of trust. And most importantly, people who have the skills to help prevent suicides and divorces.

"Just when I found myself going to another life transition and going deep into the ground after my service, H.E.R.O.E.S. Care helped guide me back to a normal life. They actually take the time and the effort and go out of their way to help rebuild broken soldiers. When I reached my lowest point in life which is going on right now, H.E.R.O.E.S. Care is helping pull me out of it. If not for everybody at this program, I would be lost without a direction and homeless. I am rebuilding my life entirely right now and I owe almost all of it to H.E.R.O.E.S. Care."
- Tom Korth, Gulf War Era Veteran
